Hairpin Leg Table Are Sturdy And Stylish
If you’re reading this in 2020, or perhaps in later years and recall what it was like to buy anything remotely essential during COVID, then you’ll likely find this post useful. Or maybe you won’t, but we really hope you do. In any case we’re excited to show you how to make some really stunning pieces of furniture for your home or office using 3 materials.
First, you will need to purchase Teak Project Panels and Hairpin Legs. The panels come in a larger rectangular option perfect for desks and console tables, a mid-size square ideal for an end table or coffee table and a round option that best suits an end table or plant stand. The hairpin legs come in 2 different sizes to elevate your item to desk height and a smaller option for the coffee table height.

Tools You Will Need
- Pencil
- Tape Measure
- Speed Square
- Drill or Impact Driver
- 1” screws (cabinet screws are ideal)
How To Make a Table with Teak Project Panels and Hairpin Legs
First you want to decide on the type of table you want to build. For us, we were looking for a console table for our entryway and a really unique plant stand because, well, plants. We love all the plants. So we went with a 1” x 16” x 36” teak panel and 28” hairpin legs for our console table and a 1” x 15” circle teak panel with 16” hairpin legs for our plant stand.Once you decide on the type of table you want to build, it’s time to get to it.

- Start by determining what side of your teak panel will be the top, then flip it over on a flat service to expose the bottom up. This is where all of your work will occur.
- Measure 1⁄2” in on both sides of each corner and make a mark. Then take your speed square and connect the lines so you have a corner “L” marked. This is a guide for where to place your hairpin legs. (When working with a circular table you want to make your first mark at 1⁄2” and create a triangle on the underside of the table top in order to place all 3 legs.)
- Place the outer edges of the legs against the lines you marked. They will sit tight while you prepare for the next step, so long as you are on a flat surface.
- Grab your drill or impact driver and a 1” cabinet screw. Choose which hole to place your first screw and begin doing so while holding the leg tight in place against those line marks. Continue with securing the remaining 3 screws.
- Repeat above step for the remaining 3 legs
- Flip over the table, admire its beauty and place it in the most desirable place of yourhome.
- Style and enjoy.

We hope you enjoyed this very quick DIY project and are able to add a little quick beauty to your home.
