FALL 2020 ONE ROOM CHALLENGE WEEK 1

It’s hard to believe we are already back here, another ORC. Anyone else feel like we just finished the Spring 2020 ORC?!? We are geeked to bring you with us on another 6 week journey as we transform a space for a client. Over the next 6 weeks we are going to take you with us on the process of how we work together with clients to create the spaces of their dreams in some truly incredible ways.

If you’re finding us for the first time from the One Room Challenge, welcome! We’re Danielle and Michael Gutelli and together we’re Clark + Aldine, a design-to-build collective in Plymouth, MI.

Clark + Aldine is named after the Chicago streets where we first met, and was born out of a love for purposeful design and everyday functionality. What we didn’t know then was that our passion and design influence would continue to grow, and we would soon leave our established careers to pursue Clark + Aldine full time. But like they say, when you know, you know! Learn more about us. 

This is going to be our 6th One Room Challenge and our second time sharing a client space with you. We are geeked to take you through the process but want to make sure you get to know us a little better before we get real personal over here. Check out all of our previous ORC reveals.

This Fall we are transforming a client master bathroom, moving a laundry room to enlarge the overall footprint of the bathroom and completely gut the space to bring it back to the true glory a master bathroom should be. The space will be complete with a soaker tub, walk in shower, plenty of storage and of course a chandelier! 

Before we get any further into this project let’s take a look at exactly what we are working with.

Here we have the incredibly dated soaker tub compete with jets and drywall work!

Hello 24 inch vanity with little to no room to get ready and the compete lack of storage.

Uuuummm…yep this is the shower. Need we say more.
