- Front legs of furniture always on rug
- At least 6 inches should remain open on each side of the rug
- Go to rug sizes: 8×10, 9×12, 10×14

Dining room
- Keep all legs of chairs on the rug at all times, even when pulled out
- At least 8 inches should remain open on each side of the rug
